Type - 100% ON-SITE role.
Job Summary - Preparing estimates of parts and assemblies including material, labor and subcontracting of Fabricated, formed, machined & painted components pertaining to Mining, agricultural & other offroad industries along with other various custom fabrications.
Key requirement - You should be a person who has a minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on manufacturing and machining experience in the estimation field.

Responsibilities
Estimating functions include:
•Effectively estimate material & labor required for manufacturing including parts, welding, machining and mechanical assembly for both custom fabrications as well as low-volume production runs.
•Build estimate quote file through Excel database.
•Create or transfer quote file information to initiate an Engineering Master’s in Visual Manufacturing software.
•Source required material and services as & when needed.
•Work with shop personnel to determine labour costs for custom designs.
•Work in conjunction with others to set priorities for estimating jobs and determine which jobs should be estimated.
Key Responsibilities:
•Work with sales, engineering and customers to develop mechanical designs to properly estimate the component and to finalize and submit quotations to customers.
•Translate customer requirements into technical proposals.
•Develop manufacturing process steps and estimated labour run times to support that process.
•Perform detailed time studies to prove out accurate estimating tables.
•Compile quotations using supplied material costing and pricing from vendors.
•Participate in establishing selling prices and policies to support the business plan and a high level of corporate profit.
•Work with the business team to develop the most cost-effective product in the industry.
•Produce contract sheets based on estimate and actual vendor prices.
•Search out vendors and subcontractors required to support business needs.
•Identify risks associated with projects.
Qualifications
Must Haves:
•Excellent communication skills verbal and written.
•Good understanding of the manufacturing process.
•Strong computer skills in PC Windows environment, Excel, Access, Word etc.
•Familiar with Solid Works.
•Self-confident, and able to make decisions under pressure.
Wants:
•Knowledge of MS Access
•Knowledge of Visual MRP system.
•Experience with estimating software.
•Engineering Technologist diploma or equivalent with a strong Math, Physics and Engineering principals (mechanical design) background.
